The Downtown Modern

The Downtown Modern is a premium short-term rental property located in the heart of Austin, Texas. We created this space for travelers who want more than a generic hotel room — a place that feels like home while delivering the design, comfort, and convenience of a boutique stay. Whether you are visiting Austin for a long weekend, attending one of the city's legendary festivals, relocating for work, or simply looking for an inspiring change of scenery, The Downtown Modern is designed with you in mind.

Every detail of this property has been thoughtfully curated — from the mid-century-inspired furniture and statement lighting to the floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Texas sky. The space features a full kitchen, a private pool, three expansive decks with skyline and lake views, high-speed WiFi, a dedicated workspace, a Sonos sound system in every room, and a grand piano. It is a real home with real character, equally suited for relaxation, remote work, creative projects, and entertaining.

The Downtown Modern is independently owned and operated by a small team passionate about Austin and hospitality. We personally manage every aspect of the guest experience — from the design of the space to the curated neighborhood guides on our blog. Our goal is simple: to help every guest experience Austin at its best, with a stay that feels personal, elevated, and effortless.
